Abstract

|
To overcome the poor bone quantity in posterior area, Maxillary sinus window opening & bone graft technique was used long time ago. But many complications as like bleeding, swelling, infection, perforation of Scheneiderian membrane have been reported. If perforate maxillary sinus membrane, sometimes you meet severe complications as infection, acute maxillary sinusitis, grafted bone and implant loss. For resolve above complications, many repairing technique was reported. Use collagen membrane cover, pouch technique, cyanoacrylate adhesive successfully repaired tearing sinus membrane. I report new sinus membrane repair technique using Platelet rich fibrin (PRF). This technique is very simple and no additives. After sinus repair with PRF, Implants was placed with bone graft simultaneously. After 8 month all implants was survived and satisfactory functional results. PRF is easy and biocompatible Biomaterial when repair maxillary sinus membrane tearing.
